International Design Business Management (IDBM) master's programme was established in 1995 as the first joint programme of three Finnish universities. These universities later formed Aalto University, which began operations at the beginning of 2010. It can be said that the now 30-year-old IDBM played a key role in the founding of Aalto University.

Leading for Interdisciplinary Creativity podcast features influencers of creative business, teachers, and students. Episodes discuss the past, present, and future, celebrate the programme's 30-year journey, and reveal both interesting insider insights and current themes in the creative field.

The podcast is hosted by industrial designer, design entrepreneur, and Aalto University Professor of Practice Irina Viippola.

‘We wanted to showcase amazing professionals who have some connection to the IDBM programme and demonstrate the interesting career paths and skills they possess. There are intriguing stories within the IDBM community, and we hope the podcast series will provide inspiration and insights to listeners.’

The first episodes of the podcast have been published on Spotify and Aalto Podcasts. A new episode will be released every two weeks, with a total of 8–9 episodes being published during spring 2026.
