New professors appointed to the School of Arts, Design and Architecture

A summary of all new professors appointed since September 2024.

Department of Architecture

  • Katrin Greiling has been appointed Assistant professor (level 2) in Interior design for a fixed term of four years from 1 August 2025.
  • Antti Lehto has been appointed Assistant professor (level 2) in Housing architecture and research for a fixed term of four years from 1 February 2026.
  • Elisa Lähde has been appointed Assistant professor (level 2) in Landscape architecture for a fixed term of four years from 1 February 2025.
  • Panu Savolainen has been appointed Associate professor in History of architecture and architectural conservation from 1 April 2026.
  • Jenni Reuter has been appointed Full professor in Architectural principles and theoryfrom 1 July 2025.
  • Gianni Talamini has been appointed Associate professor in Urban design from 7 January 2026.
     

Department of Film

  • Jan Forsström has been appointed Assistant professor (level 2) in Screenwriting for film and television for a period of four years from 1 March 2026.
  • Kari Juusonen has been appointed Associate professor in Animation and digital AV production for a fixed term of five years from 12 January 2026.
  • Juho Kuosmanen has been appointed part-time Professor of Practice in Film directing between 1 October 2025 to 30 September 2030. 
  • Hanna Maylett has been appointed Associate professor in Film directing for a fixed term of five years from 1 October 2025.
  • Sofia Pantouvaki hasbeen appointed Full professor in Costume design for theatre and film from 1 September 2024. 
     

Department of Design

  • Camilla Groth has been appointed Associate professor in Design and materialities from 1 September 2026.
  • Tuuli Mattelmäki hasbeen appointed Full professor in design, especially product and service systems from 1 May 2025. 
  • Miklu Silvanto has been appointed part-time Professor of Practice in Creativity and AI between 15 August 2025 to 14 August 2027.
  • Hironori Yoshida has been appointed Assistant Professor (level 1) in Design Formgiving for a period of five years between 13 April 2026 to 12 April 2031.
     

Department of Art and Media

  • Bruno Moreschi has been appointed Associate professor in New media for a fixed term of five years from 5 January 2026.
  • Paula Hohti hasbeen appointed Full professor in History of art and culture from 1 January 2025. 
  • Tomi Slotte Dufva has been appointed Assistant professor (level 2) in Art education for a period of four years from 1 October 2025.
