Nokia’s newest network technology to the Industrial Internet Campus

Nokia’s aim is to accelerate the adoption of IoT solutions by supporting collaboration that promotes innovation.

On Wednesday 18 January, 2017 the Aalto Industrial Internet Campus celebrated the inauguration of the donated by Konecranes. At the event Nokia announced their gift for the campus – the Nokia Innovation Platform connectivity kit.

The is a live development and trial environment for start-ups, industry and other contributors to the Internet of Things (IoT). The connectivity kit provides a wireless connection from the test and development environment to the platform.

Nokia’s aim is to accelerate the adoption of IoT solutions by supporting collaboration that promotes innovation.

”Nokia has collaborated with Aalto for years in the areas of industrial Internet and fast network connections. We wanted to deliver a gift for the Industrial Internet Campus – the Nokia Innovation Platform connectivity kit. With this we can build a fast network connection for the campus lab facilities enabling research on multiple use cases. Aalto can do research independently and in cooperation with Nokia and Konecranes”, said Janne Parantainen (in the photo), Head of Technology to Business Solutions from Nokia.
