Panopto – new tool for creating and sharing educational media at Aalto

We are pleased to announce today there is a new tool available for anyone at Aalto University to use to record and share knowledge and information.

Today we are launching a new media service called Panopto that enables anyone at Aalto to easily record and share educational media across our university. Panopto media service can be used to share:

  • Video presentations. Record your PowerPoint slides and share them as pre-lecture video presentations on MyCourses.
  • Lecture capture. Capture anything you show on your screen and lecture room.
  • Media reposititory. Upload your previous online learning materials to Panopto cloud and    share them on Aalto network.
  • Live Webcasts. Host a live event or webinar.
  • Student presentations and video assignments. Panopto is available for students as well.

A new study by the University of Vaasa and Aalto University shows that mandatory cybersecurity disclosure does not prompt reactions from investors or stock analysts. Instead, the main benefits appear to materialise within firms themselves.
