Prior to his appointment as School of Engineering technology manager, Panu Sainio served as the coordinator of the school's Technical Support Services and as chief engineer, with his time split between the school and the Department of Mechanical Engineering.

'The technical services required by teachers, researchers and professors must take a view that goes beyond the borders between departments and schools. My aim is to promote co-operation and the dissemination of best practices as well as improve the flow of services-related information. The transformation of Puumiehenkuja inºÚÁÏÍø University Works is a huge step forward in fostering co-operation and developing our campus,' says Panu Sainio.

'We welcome different perspectives and new ideas as we build Aalto Works. No renovation or construction project can be considered complete instantly after the construction crew leaves the site. That's when the process of settling in begins, and it should not be rushed,' Sainio notes.
