Aalto University offers several pedagogical courses for teaching faculty in autumn 2023
Aalto University offers pedagogical courses to support pedagogical skills of faculty members. Please find the course descriptions and their enrolment forms by clicking the links below. As a rule, information about admission to the course is sent to those registered no later than three weeks before the start of the course.
Some courses have prerequisites that can be found in the course description. The training programme (25 ECTS) consists of four core courses (A! Peda Intro, Learning and teaching in higher education, Course design, and Teaching practice) and elective courses. You are welcome to study more elective courses than the 5 ECTS needed for the training programme!
Core courses in autumn 2023:
- A! Peda Intro (5 ECTS), in English, 11.9. - 9.11.2023 (enrolment open until 14.8.2023)
- Course Design (5 ECTS), in English, 11.10-13.12.2023 (enrolment open until 15.9.2023)
- Learning and Teaching in Higher Education, in English, 13.9.-29.11.2023 (enrolment open until 20.8.2023)
- Teaching practice, in English, 30.8.-7.12.2023 (enrolment open until 13.8.2023)
Elective courses in autumn 2023:

- Doctoral supervision (3 ECTS), 14.9.-23.11.2023 (enrolment open until 11.8.2023)
- Curriculum Development (3 ECTS), 12.09.-14.11.2023 (enrolment open until 18.8.2023)
- Coaching group for teachers (in Finnish) 1 cr, autumn 2023, enrolment 15.5.-8.9.2023 | Aalto University
- Open Networked Learning in English (5 ECTS), 18.09 - 8.12.2023 (enrolment 15.5 -25.8.2023)
- Towards flexible assessment (in Finnish), online self-study course, (enrolment opens on 7.8.2023)
- Sustainability in teaching (3 ECTS), 22.09.-08.12.2023 (enrolment open until 08.09.2023)
- Teaching assistant as a learning instructor (2 ECTS), 9.10.-11.12.2023 (enrolment open until 14.9.2023)
Please note that registration for pedagogical courses is not possible from outside Aalto University.
