Physics award to Jukka Pekola
Professor Jukka Pekola received the physics award of Prof. Theodor Homén at the annual celebration of The Finnish Society of Sciences and Letter.
Jukka Pekola is an Academy Professor 2014-2018 and is also the leader of the Centre of Excellence in Low Temperature Quantum Phenomena and Devices LTQ.
During his career Jukka Pekola has conducted experimental studies that are unique on a world scale. The micro and nano-scale thermometers and refrigerators he has developed are cutting-edge achievements in nanophysics.
