Potential for distributed photovoltaics in urban Chile
Aalto-Chile collaboration addresses Chile's solar potential: Photovoltaics in cities could satisfy 22% of Chile’s electricity demand.
The results of an extensive simulation work of solar energy potential in Chile, which is one of world's most promising regions for solar energy utilization, was published in Solar Energy 135 (2016) 43–49 http://dx.doi.org/10.1016/j.solener.2016.05.043.
The work was based on Aalto-Chile collaboration and funded through a grant from the Academy of Finland and CONICYT Chile.
