Printing service renewal: information on installation of new equipment and the new service

Uniprint, our new printing system developed in collaboration with Unigrafia, Ricoh and Aalto University IT Services, will be installed in phases. The installation of the new multi-function devices and the complete rollout of the printing system will begin in October 2024 and end no later than January 2025.

As the new Ricoh multi-function devices are installed on campus, the old Canon printing system and devices will be removed. This transition may cause temporary service interruptions for individual multi-function devices.

The installation of the new Uniprint multi-function devices will proceed building by building. Prior to beginning installations in a particular building, Unigrafia will provide a detailed timetable. This information will also be updated on aalto.fi once the installations start.

How to use the new service?

The new printing service will function similarly to the current system. To use it, simply present your personal printing card to the multi-function device's reader to access your personal Secureprint printing queue. After presenting your card, you will be able to release any documents you have sent to the printing queue.

The popular mobile printing service will also be available for with the new system.
