Restaurant MOO's lunch will be renewed – a rich salad and lunch buffet will be served until 2 p.m.

Restaurant MOO's lunch selection will be renewed starting March 31st, and the very popular salad buffet will be expanded to be even richer. Plate portions are omitted at the lunch and lunch is served from the buffet table.

Restaurant MOO – Middle of the Otaniemi in Marsio offers delicious and responsibly prepared food and is a meeting place open to everyone. MOO's daily changing menu is varied and includes several different vegetable, fish and meat options.

From Monday March 31st, 2025, Restaurant MOO's lunch selection will be renewed and the very popular salad buffet will be expanded to be even richer. Plate portions are omitted at the lunch and lunch is served at the buffet table. Two soups will be served at the soup lunch as usual.

Plate portions can be ordered for groups in advance (at least three (3) weekdays). Ask for more information moomyynti@kanresta.fi. You can also order catering services for meetings or events from MOO.  

Lunch is served between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. 

Lunch at Restaurant MOO:

Soup and Salad Lunch
includes two (2) soups of the day (one is vegetable soup), 
rich salad buffet, bread + spread, coffee/tea + biscuits
12,50 €

Buffet Lunch
Includes two (2) hot dishes (one is vegetarian),
rich salad buffet, bread + spread, coffee/tea + biscuits
13,50 €

You can add the soup of the day to the Buffet Lunch  for + €2.
Gluten-free and vegan option available daily.

Soup and Salad Lunch 11,20 €
Buffet Lunch 13 €
–10% for Aalto University employees and Aalto University students on cafeteria products.
The discount does not apply to alcoholic beverages and it is personal. The discount does not apply to products paid for at the self-service checkout outside the restaurant's opening hours. Lunches and café products purchased on invoice are at normal prices.

You can pay with payment cards and the most common mobile payment methods at MOO, cash and paper lunch vouchers are not used.  

Do you already have the MOO lunch pass? 
You get every 10th lunch for free. Ask for your own passport at the cashier.

Nearly a hundred Aalto teachers and education professionals gathered at Marsio Presents: Creative Teaching in the Age of AI to explore how rapidly evolving AI tools are changing teaching practices, while core goals like critical thinking, motivation, real-world problem solving and human interaction remain essential. Keynotes, teacher examples, and thematic dialogue sessions highlighted concrete ways to use AI as a responsible partner in teaching, and showed a strong appetite for ongoing, peer-based pedagogical dialogue and sharing of good practices.
