Robin Ras among the 2013 MRS Science as Art Winners
Professor Robin Ras received the second place in 2013 MRS Science as Art competition.
"Family Portrait of Magnetic Droplets鈥 received the second place in 2013 MRS Science as Art competition, presented at the 2013 MRS Fall Meeting held at Boston, Massachusetts (01.12-06.12.2013). The image is a composite photograph of ferrofluid droplets on a superhydrophobic surface at varying magnetic field strengths. The 鈥渆yes鈥 are reflections from two lamps. Iris Seitz awarded for exceptional early-career achievement
Dr. Iris Seitz, former PhD student of Professor Mauri Kostiainen, has been awarded the 2026 Robert Dirks Molecular Programming Prize for her work on programmable protein architectures with nucleic acid origami.
Awards presented for top doctoral and master鈥檚 theses at the School of Science
In 2025, there were altogether 71 doctoral and 607 master's degrees in the School of Science. In March, seven outstanding doctoral and six master's theses were awarded.
