Scholarships open for application for studying, research, projects advancing women’s engineering studies and for a study trip to the United States

The Aalto University School of Electrical Engineering Student Services declares the following scholarship open for application:

Scholarships from the Kansallis-Osake-Pankki Fund

From the proceeds of the Kansallis-Osake-Pankki Fund, three scholarships of EUR 1000 for teachers of engineering and technology at Aalto University, or postgraduate students actively engaged in teaching duties. The attachments applicants are required to submit with their application include a research plan, a list of publications or a publication plan for publications to be included in the dissertation, a brief account of teaching activities, and a transcript of records (from postgraduate students).

Application period 1.9. – 30.9.2022

Applications are submitted via an electronic form in  latest on September 30th, 2022 at 23.59 hours. Applications received late will be ignored.

The attachments should be in pdf-form and be named as follows:

  • Lastname_Firstname_Research_plan.pdf
  • Lastname_Firstname_ List_of_publications.pdf
  • Lastname_Firstname_ List_of_teaching_activities.pdf
  • Lastname_Firstname_Transcript_of_records.pdf

Scholarship from the Combined Student Fund

From the proceeds of the Combined Student Fund, two scholarships of EUR 1000 to academically successful students who are studying towards their master’s degree in technology and have completed their Bachelor of Science (Technology) degree in Aalto University.  Applicants should attach an official transcript of records to their application.

Application period 1.9. – 30.9.2022

Applicants should apply via electronic form in the address  by September 30th, 2022 at 23.59 hours. Applications received late will be ignored.

The transcript of records should be in pdf-form and should be named as follows:

Lastname_Firstname_Transcript_of_records.pdf

Scholarship from the Strömberg Fund

From the proceeds of the Oy Strömberg Ab Fund, one scholarship of EUR 1000 to support research work related to electrical engineering at Aalto University. Applicants are required to submit a research plan and a list of publications as attachments to their application.

Application period 1.9. – 30.9.2022

Applications are submitted via an electronic form in latest on September 30th, 2022 at 23.59 hours. Applications received late will be ignored.

The attachments should be in pdf-form and be named as follows:

Scholarships from the Julius Tallberg Fund

From the proceeds of the Julius Tallberg Fund, four scholarships of EUR 1000 to academically successful students who are studying towards their master’s degree in technology and have completed their Bachelor of Science (Technology) degree in Aalto University.  Applicants should attach an official transcript of records to their application.

Application period 1.9. – 30.9.2022

Applicants should apply via electronic form in the address  by September 30th, 2022 at 23.59 hours. Applications received late will be ignored.

Scholarships from the Marja-Terttu Tanttinen Fund

From the Marja-Terttu Tanttinen Fund, two scholarships of 1000 Euros. These scholarships are open to individuals, teams and communities.

The scholarships are awarded for projects that advance women’s engineering studies or encourage women to engage in studies of engineering and technology.

Application period 1.9. – 30.9.2022

Applications are submitted viaelectronic form .

Supporting arguments motivating the application are to be recorded under Additional information. Applications should be submitted by September 30th, 2022, at 23:59 the latest. Applications received after that hour will be ignored.

Payment details will be requested later, if necessary.

Scholarship from the Ernst Wirtzen Fund

From the proceeds of Ernst Wirtzen Fund, two scholarships of EUR 4000, for an Aalto University student or postgraduate student in the field of engineering and technology, for a study trip to the United States for a period of approximately one year. Applicants are required to submit an acceptance letter from the host university or research institution, as well as a research or travel plan, and a statement from their intended tutor or supervisor, if applicable.

Application period 1.9. – 30.9.2022

Applications are submitted via an electronic form in  latest on September 30th, 2022 at 23.59 hours. Applications received late will be ignored.

The attachments should be in pdf-form and be named as follows:
