Sirkku Linna appointed Development Director at Aalto University
The Aalto University Board has named Sirkku Linna, M.Sc. (Econ.), M.Soc.Sc., as the Development Director of Aalto University and a member of the Management Team starting from 1 August 2015. In her position Linna will provide strategic support for Aalto University in e.g. stakeholder relations.
Linna (born 1975) has long experience in societal relations and politics. Earlier, Linna has worked e.g. as State Secretary at the Ministry of Employment and the Economy, as political special assistant for Prime Minister Jyrki Katainen, and as influence team leader at The Federation of Finnish Technology Industries.
– I am very glad that Sirkku Linna is joining us in further strengthening the university. She has versatile experience and valuable insight to developing our operations, says Tuula Teeri, President of Aalto University.
Jari Jokinen, who previously held the position, transferred to the Academic Engineers and Architects in Finland this spring to be the director of education and labour policy.
