Start of the new academic year
During this week we are warmly welcoming our new students. Altogether 198 new students are starting their studies in Väre building and around Otaniemi campus. Orientation week to School of Arts, Design and Architecture is 2–6 September.
The faculty, staff and students of Aalto University are invited to Aalto Day One event on Tuesday 3 September to celebrate the opening of the academic year. Festivities take place at 13–20 in Alvarinaukio. You can also follow the opening ceremony via a webcast from 13:00 onwards by clicking.
On Monday 2 September and Thursday 5 September there is joint program for all incoming students in Otakaari 1. On other days during the opening week students participate to programme specific events in different parts of the campus. A total of 2,872 students are enrolled at the School of Arts, Design and Architecture in the new academic year.
Welcome back to campus
Our old students are welcomed back to campus for the new semester in a new event by Aalto Learning Services on Friday 6 September in Väre. There will be pop up guidance and info desks in Väre 1. floor working café Kukkapuro at 9–15. In the afternoon at 12–15 there’ll be some music, cup cakes for students and at 13:30 a speech from the Dean.
Come along, meet other students and mingle, and take a look around the new homebases for students.
