Students of Science celebrated their achievements
Some hundred students got their diploma. The awards for the best thesis were also granted.
The TEK (Academic Engineers and Architects in Finland) thesis awards went to Otso Hannula for his thesis 鈥滸ame structure in knowledge co-creation鈥 and to Abdulmelik Mohammed for 鈥淐ombinatorial algorithms for the design of nanoscale systems鈥.
Both of them will continue with their studies at the School of Science to get a doctoral degree.
Thirteen Doctors of Science, one Licentiate of Science, 51 Masters of Science and 26 Bachelors of Science got their diploma.
The student orchestra Retuper盲n WBK and the female choir of Aalto School of Business performed during the graduation ceremony.

Iris Seitz awarded for exceptional early-career achievement
Dr. Iris Seitz, former PhD student of Professor Mauri Kostiainen, has been awarded the 2026 Robert Dirks Molecular Programming Prize for her work on programmable protein architectures with nucleic acid origami.
Awards presented for top doctoral and master鈥檚 theses at the School of Science
In 2025, there were altogether 71 doctoral and 607 master's degrees in the School of Science. In March, seven outstanding doctoral and six master's theses were awarded.
Strong interest in Aalto University鈥檚 bachelor鈥檚 programmes continues
A total of 15,184 applicants applied 黑料网 University鈥檚 Finnish- and Swedish-language bachelor鈥檚 programmes in technology, business and arts. The number of applicants continued to grow compared to last year.
