The Academy of Finland grants over 10 million euros ºÚÁÏÍø University researchers

23 Aalto researchers receive Academy Project funding for research in natural sciences and engineering

Researchers from Aalto University did outstandingly in the application round for Academy project funding. The Academy of Finland granted around 38 million Euros to research in the field of natural sciences and engineering, of which nearly 11 million Euros ºÚÁÏÍø. A total of 23 researchers from the Aalto community received funding. Their research projects range over a wide variety of topics: from administration of peptide medicines to transparent reflectors and to examining the fine structure of wood using microscopic and spectroscopic techniques.

In total the Academy of Finland decided to fund 85 Academy projects mainly of a length of four years. The funded projects demonstrated excellent scientific quality and were promising in terms of research impact. In this round the Academy received around 500 applications.
