The application period for Digital Business Master Class spring 2022 is open

The Digital Business Master Class (DBMC) by Aalto University Summer School is organised for the seventh time in March 2022. Due to its popularity, the course is organised once every spring and again in the summer

The application period for this spring's DBMC is open. The course has been organized since 2018 with students from every corner of the world participating in the interactive and fast-paced summer course. The two-week intensive aims to equip the students with knowledge and skills about digital technologies as tools for building businesses today. During the Master Class, students learn how companies transform their processes and systems by implementing digital technologies.

Challenge-based learning is an integral part of the course, meaning that the students work on company projects in international and multidisciplinary teams. The projects are done in collaboration with partner companies, ensuring that the themes are relevant to the current business environment.

From online to on-campus

Due to the corona pandemic, the DBMC was held online in 2020 and 2021. The online edition of the course received outstanding feedback from the students despite the fact that they had been overwhelmed with online courses and Zoom lectures for the past year.

‘It may sound like a cliché, but the course has truly exceeded all my expectations. I have been attending online classes and courses through Zoom and Teams for an entire year now, and this was by far the best organised and most inspiring one!’, says DBMC 2021 alumna Svitlana Chaplinska.

Aalto University has now opened up its campus entirely for the fall semester in 2021, and most courses will return to campus from October 2021 onwards. All Aalto University Summer School courses will be held on Otaniemi campus to ensure that the students can experience Aalto University campus and Helsinki during the Finnish spring and summer while deep-diving into multidisciplinary topics together with like-minded students from around the world.

‘We are so excited to be back on campus after two years! Connecting with other participants face-to-face and meeting partnering companies live will elevate the course experience for students, especially after such a long time of online studies. Welcome to Otaniemi!’, says Program Manager Laura Kitinoja
