The last festive graduation ceremony filled the Töölö main building assembly hall
A total of 90 Masters of Science in Economics and Business Administration and three Doctors of Science in Economics and Business Administration graduated in the festive graduation ceremony held in the School of Business main building in Töölö on 21 December 2018.
In his speech, Dean of the School of Business Ingmar Björkman congratulated the graduates and wished that they would stay in touch with the school in the future: ‘You are now Aalto University and School of Business alumni, and we will greatly appreciate if you can continue supporting the improvement of our school in the best way you see fit. At the same time, I want to already invite you all to visit our new “home” in Otaniemi in spring 2019!’
Previous Rector of Helsinki School of Economics, Professor Emeritus Eero Kasanen also congratulated the graduates and reflected on the school's history: ‘The school has reached many milestones, such as exporting Finnish management education, student exchange with other leading schools of business, international quality accreditations, publications in leading journals and cooperation with major companies. Now, all of you graduated masters and doctors are the ones making history.’
The traditional programme of the event also included musical performances by Helsinki Academic Male Choir KYL, greetings from Aalto University Business Students and HEKO ry (Helsinki Economists), and the event finished with cake and sparkling wine.
Approximately 400–450 Masters of Science in Economics and Business Administration graduate from the School of Business annually, and the festive graduation ceremony is organised 4–5 times a year.
