Travel plans 2018

Travel Services team has received feedback on travel plans.

The university made a decision that travel plans are no longer needed starting from the beginning of 2018. The reasons for this are:

  • travel plans were only partially (60%) filled out
  • in most cases the plans were approved without changes

Hence, most of the time making and approving travel plans seems to be unnecessary work. The purpose of an email approval is to make the process lighter. Dean /  head of the department/superior can define the level of detail he/she needs for the travel plan approval. Email approval does not need to be sent to the travel services team nor attached to the travel claim.

  • As earlier informed, the travel plan is needed for bookings only if the trip is:
      •
      • to war risk area
      •
      • for an assignment
      •
      • for a group.

Average hotel room prices and flight prices  will be added to Inside within next week to help our customers in planning process.
