Two textile students selected as finalists for the Dorothy Waxman Textile Design Prixe 2015
 
  Aoi’s entry for the competition is her Master of Arts thesis textile collection “Random Order" was also presented at the Aalto stand during the Milan Fair earlier this spring. Hanna-Kaisa is also presenting her MA-thesis collection.
The award winner and $5,000 prize will be announced by Dorothy Waxman in New York on May 13th. In the coming days, TrendTablet.com will post from TALKING TEXTILES featuring all of the finalists' work.
This year, TALKING TEXTILES is part of New York Design Week in partnership with WANTED Design, hosting an exhibition at Industry City Brooklyn that features the 20 finalists from the prize. Displaying textures and concepts that innovate our perceptions of material, the TALKING TEXTILES installation will offer visitors a visually-tactile experience of innovative fabrics!
