The research data is transferred from the university's research information system ACRIS. In practice, metadata of the research data is integrated to the national METAX catalog, from where it ends up in addition to the national research portal to the national . The aim is to increase the discoverability and visibility of research data. The project has been implemented in collaboration with the IT Center for Science, CSC.
ACRIS currently has about 650 metadata records of research data. The metadata of the research data are harvested into the research information system from more than 2,000 data repositories. Most of the research data published by Aalto's researchers are open, so they can also be used in research and teaching.
Researchers can also add information of their published datasets to ACRIS. Read more about publishing research data: Practical steps to publish the research data | Aalto University
