Visiting professor Ali Ahmadi

Professor Ahmadi joined us from the Department of Mining Engineering of Isfahan University of Technology in Iran.

Ali Ahmadi is a Visiting Professor at the Hydrometallurgy and Corrosion Group of the Department of Chemical and Metallurgical Engineering, Aalto University.  During this visit (from July to September 2018), Ali has focused on the recycling of base and precious metals from electronic wastes by amino acids, to find out a cost-effective and environmentally-friendly route for treating these hazardous wastes. 

Ali works as Associate Professor at the Department of Mining Engineering of Isfahan University of Technology, Iran. He is specialized in hydrometallurgical processes, including (bio)-leaching, solvent extraction and electrowining. Ali has conducted over 20 research projects with Iranian Mining Industries. He has published more than 20 journal papers and has three patents. Ali is a member of editorial board of Helyion (Elsevier), Separation Science and Engineering (ISC, in Persian) and International Journal of Nonferrous Metallurgy journals.
