Degree programme report tool

The degree programme reporting tool can be used to support the monitoring and evaluation of a degree programme or major subject, as well as to monitor students’ academic progress. In addition to statistical data, the tool also allows users to view student-specific information in accordance with their access rights, for example in relation to a specific degree programme or major subject.

The degree programme reporting tool (a browser-based PowerBI cloud service available via the Aalto network or with MFA authentication) is accessible, for example, to those responsible for degree programmes and majors, as well as the necessary staff in Learning Services.

The degree programme report tool can be used to support the monitoring and evaluation of a degree programme or major, as well as to track students’ academic performance. In addition to statistical data, the tool makes it possible to view student-specific information in accordance with your access rights, for example related to a particular degree programme or major. Access rights to this information are determined on the basis of Sisu, so you can see detailed information on those degree programmes or majors for which you have been entered as the responsible teacher in Sisu.

The report tool contains several individual reports that are structured by theme: degree programme objectives, attractiveness, quality and outcomes.

Use of the report:

You will be granted access to the degree programme reporting tool if your duties require you to view information concerning students (for example directors of degree programmes, persons responsible for majors as well as programme planning officers and coordinators).

To use the reporting tool you must be on the Aalto network or connected via Aalto VPN. The browsers currently supported are IE, Chrome, Edge and Firefox.

  • By selecting an individual report from the themed list on the front page you can examine data and results. The results of the reports are presented at the level of the university, school, degree programmes and majors, depending on data availability.
  • You can use the blue navigation panel on the left-hand side to move between reports.
  • In case of technical problems or if you need access rights, contact mis@aalto.fi

Programme Management Services provides user support and guidance and coordinates development. Contact persons are experts Jiri Lallimo jiri.lallimo@aalto.fi and Amanda Sjöblom amanda.sjoblom@aalto.fi

If you cannot access the report or the report page is completely empty, you may not have access to student data. To request access rights, contact mis@aalto.fi.
