This site contains the student study guide for the Master's Programme in Animation. Here you will find the programme curriculum as well as detailed guidelines for planning your studies. All the materials and instructions are for the students in the programme. If you are interested in applying to the programme, follow the link at the bottom of the site to the application page.

The Master's Programme in Animation is organized by the School of Arts, Design and Architecture. The programme is coordinated jointly by the Department of Film, Television and Production Design and the Department of Media.

Animation, Master of Arts (Art and Design)

Animation major explores both the theory and practice of this most imaginative and joyous form of art. The programme is the first of its kind in Finland, and students will become part of a wide network in the Finnish and international animation community.

Tuition fees

Tuition fee for tuition-fee students in this programme:

  • Study right started on or before 1 August 2024: 15,000 EUR / academic year
  • Study right started on or after 1 August 2025: 20,000 EUR / academic year
