Master's Programme in Biotechnology is organised by the School of Chemical Engineering.

This site contains the student study guide for the master’s programme with materials and instructions on studies. Here you will find the programme curriculum as well as detailed guidelines for planning your studies.

In addition to the programme's pages, Aalto University uses various online services for planning and monitoring one’s studies, and for keeping up with what is going on at the university. How to apply

Biotechnology, Master of Science (Technology)

The Master’s Programme in Biotechnology is for visionary engineers who want to develop new or improved bio-based solutions and technologies.

Tuition fees 

Tuition fee for tuition-fee students in this programme:

  • Study right started on or before 1 August 2024: 15,000 EUR / academic year
  • Study right started on or after 1 August 2025: 17,000 EUR / academic year
