Dis/abling Enunciations I-III, 2019-2020 by Timothy J. Smith

Dis/abling Enunciations is an ongoing artistic research inquiry into my embodied experience with disability, time, and duration. My embodiment of ‘crip time’ is one that is intimately familiar with the always unpredictable process of artmaking that often involve lumbering and staggering experiences of expanded and contracted time frames as a painting unfolds. These artistic endeavors into crip time serves as unique experiences of knowledge-making that flows new insights into my academic research and engagement in critical methodologies and disability justice.
