Who can access ACRIS

ACRIS is a key tool for making Aalto University’s research activities visible. The system is available to all academic staff and those involved in research, as well as doctoral students.

An ACRIS account and profile are automatically created for individuals in these groups, based on information synchronized from HR and student information systems. Through your profile, you can manage and update your personal information and linked content, such as publications, projects, and professional activities. Keeping your profile up to date helps ensure that your research is accurately represented both within Aalto and to the outside world.

Access rights are determined by valid employment contracts or study rights. If you are part of support staff and require access to ACRIS, please send a request to acris@aalto.fi.

As a web-based system, ACRIS can be used anytime, anywhere. Its public is open to everyone, serving as a valuable platform for sharing research with a broader audience.

Can doctoral students not emploeyd by Aalto access ACRIS?

Doctoral students not employed by Aalto can still access ACRIS. Since 2019, information for doctoral students who began their studies in 2010 or later is automatically synced from Sisu to ACRIS. Here’s what you need to know:

  • You must be enrolled as an attendee.
  • Students who have previously authorized ACRIS support to transfer their information have access.

If you prefer not to have your information synced, or if you started before 2010 and wish to transfer your data, contact studentservices@aalto.fi or your school's student services.

Important: ACRIS access is suspended annually at the end of July for doctoral students who haven't enrolled as attendees. Access will be restored upon successful enrollment.
