Lifewide Learning Services team

The Lifewide Learning Services provides continuous learning services in Aalto. The team combines the services of the Open University, the FITech Network University, and the Summer School. We serve both domestic and international students, offering the opportunity for non-degree students to study courses that fulfill Aalto University degree requirements. We organise courses for an international audience during the summer and customized study visits for groups throughout the year. Our goal is to create an educational offering that meets the needs of both individuals and the workforce.

Aalto University Summer School

Summer School offers two-week multidisciplinary academic courses and programs in July and August. In addition to that, we organise customised study tours for groups around the year. The courses are targeted at an international audience, and most of our course participants are degree students in foreign universities interested in gaining international experience and exploring new topics.

In autumn, the summer school team collects commercially interesting course topics and recruits teachers for the summer courses. During the spring, the team assists teachers in finalising course plans and executes applicant marketing and summer student selections during the application period (February-May). In addition, the team plans and sells customised study visits in all seasons.
