  Preparing curricula 2026鈥2028: Goals for the curriculum work published to support development of the programmes
  Our shared goals in curriculum design are strengthening the status of national languages Finnish and Swedish alongside English, strengthening the employability of international students in Finland and  integrating the cross-cutting approaches of sustainability, radical creativity, and an entrepreneurial mindset into the programmes.

  Apply for Frugal Design - international short-term course in Sweden!
  The Frugal Design course, organised by the Nordic Five Tech Alliance, allows you to participate in an international project and develop your skills in multidisciplinary student teams. The course aims to enable participants to engage in a collaborative, cross-cultural prototyping design process with an emphasis on a simple and cost-effective approach.

  A language-supported study path enhances technology students' employability
  Higher education institutions in the Helsinki metropolitan area are working together to develop language-aware teaching. The Aalto sub-project focuses on the technology sector. It integrates Finnish as a second language studies into an English-language bachelor's degree. Students will receive language-related counseling. Content studies will be integrated in collaboration with technology teachers.

  EIT Jumpstarter Programme 2025
  The EIT Jumpstarter is an award-winning pre-acceleration programme funded by the European Union designed to help validate innovative ideas and develop business skills to create and run innovative start-ups. The programme focuses on talents coming from countries located in Central, Eastern and Southern Europe, where the pace of innovation is moderate or emerging.
      
      
     
  Olli-Pekka Pentj盲rvi develops biorefining technologies: 鈥淲ith chemical engineering skills, I can influence industrial environmental issues.鈥
  Studies in chemical engineering led Olli-Pekka Pentj盲rvi to launch a new biorefinery plant that produces bioethanol from bamboo to reduce transport emissions. Olli-Pekka's work is to scale biorefining technologies to an industrial scale. Chemical engineering provided Olli-Pekka with extensive tools and networks for solving industrial environmental issues.
