Academic decision making

The school is led by the Dean. The Dean appoints the Heads and Vice Heads of the school's departments, as well as the directors of the degree programmes and the doctoral programme. The dean participates in cross-school cooperation within Aalto, aimed at enhancing the implementation of Aalto's strategy.

The primary body for addressing academic issues at CHEM is the Academic Committee. Additionally, certain academic matters are managed by the Doctoral Programme Committee and the Degree Programme Committee, in accordance with the school's bylaws.
