Only less than 5% of the business schools worldwide have earned the AACSB International accreditation.

To maintain this hallmark of excellence in management education the business school must undergo a rigorous review every five years. During this review the school must demonstrate its continued commitment to 15 quality standards relating to faculty qualification, strategic management of resources, engagement, innovation and impact, as well as a commitment to continuous improvement and achievement of learning goals in degree programmes.

‘Accreditations, such as AACSB, are important for the business school to show our School is recognized as one of the leading business schools in the world. This time, our School received praise for our teaching, such as the use of real-life cases, and the quality of our research. Also the growth of Aalto University Executive Education was recognized’, says Ingmar Björkman, Dean of Aalto University School of Business.

‘Exceptionally, the peer review teams consisting of three international business school deans did not identify any area that the School will need to address and report on during the next five-year period. I would like to take this opportunity for thanking all employees and partners of the school for their dedicated work to continuously improve how the school supports student learning, addresses important business and societal questions through high quality research, and contributes to the development of society’.

Aalto University School of Business’ achievement is recognized in the end of April at the AACSB International Conference and Annual meeting in Houston, Texas.

Aalto University School of Business is the first business school in Finland and the first business school in the Nordics to have received the prestigious triple crown, i.e. all three labels of excellence from the world’s leading business school accreditation bodies AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS already in 2007.
