Anna Dupleix's doctoral dissertation receives top prize from French university

Ms Dupleix focused her investigation on the use of infrared heaters in woodturning work.

Arts et Métiers ParisTech University (ENSAM) awarded D.Sc (Tech) Anna Dupleix with the 'Prix de thèse Pierre Bézier' Prize, which is the highest recognition given by the university for a doctoral work.

Dupleix carried out her wood product engineering dissertation with joint supervision from both Aalto University's School of Chemical Technology and ENSAM. Her work investigated the use of infrared heaters in woodturning work. Acting as doctoral supervisors were Professor Mark Hughes (Aalto University School of Chemical Technology) and Professor Jean-Christophe Batsale (ENSAM).

ENSAM awarded the prize to a total of four doctoral students.
