Applicants to Master's Programme in Marketing and Master's Programme in International Management can apply for the Pekka Mattila Excellence Scholarship

The Pekka Mattila Excellence Scholarships consist of a €3,000 relocation grant, paid at the beginning of the degree programme

In memory of Pekka Mattila, Professor of Marketing at the School of Business, these merit-based scholarships are aimed at particularly talented students admitted to the School of Business Master’s Programme in Marketing or Master’s Programme in International Management who are liable to pay tuition fees.

The Pekka Mattila Excellence Scholarships consist of a €3,000 relocation grant, paid at the beginning of the degree programme. 

‘Our school's role as an internationally prominent educator was close to Pekka's heart. With these scholarships, we promote both marketing and internationality, the latter one being extremely important for the whole society, too. Through these scholarships and their recipients, Pekka's name will live on in our school's everyday life, in addition to his many achievements,’ Timo Korkeamäki, Dean of the School of Business says.

From applying for the grant to the selection process

To apply to the programme and for the Aalto University Excellence Scholarship, you have to submit your application to the School of Business Master's Programme in Marketing or the Master's Programme in International Management during the application period for the Aalto University master's programmes. During this process, you can also apply for the Aalto University Excellence Scholarship with the same application form.

After submitting your application ºÚÁÏÍø University, you must complete the Pekka Mattila Excellence Scholarship form stating your motivation and eligibility.

Selected applicants will be notified in the same week that the Aalto University admission results are published. The €3,000 grant will be transferred during the first year of the student's attendance at Aalto University. Payments will be made to Finnish or SEPA bank accounts for selected scholarship recipients after enrolment. The Pekka Mattila Excellence Scholarship cannot be combined with the Aalto University Excellence Scholarship.
