Congratulations to all graduates!

The 2017-18 graduates of the School of Arts, Design and Architecture will be celebrated today. Aalto Ceremony Week includes also a joint graduation party.

The graduation ceremony of the School of Arts, Design and Architecture takes place today on Wednesday 13.6.2018 at 3 pm. in Otaniemi. It will be followed by a a joint Graduation Party from 6 pm. on.

Aalto University will celebrate all its graduates from the academic year 2017-2018 by hosting the first Aalto Ceremony Week 10–15 June 2018. The Ceremony Week programme is built around the Ceremonial Conferment of Doctoral Degrees and the graduation ceremonies – traditionally referred to as publiikki ceremonies – organised by each school of Aalto University for their master’s and bachelor’s degree graduates. The publiikki ceremonies are followed by a joint Graduation Party that is open to everyone at Aalto University.

The Ceremony Week epitomises an important transition in university studies: a milestone is reached and students move on to the next phase, whether it’s creating further knowledge or applying what they’ve learned so far. Graduates, their families, the academic community and alumni are all invited to join in the celebration.

Learning new things continues after graduation

Aalto graduates’ transition to working life and their experience of studies and careers are monitored annually through a career monitoring survey. The responses to the survey provide important information about the work life of graduates, both for current students and for young people considering their future studies. In addition, the information collected is used to develop Aalto University’s teaching and services.

New graduates at the School of Chemical Engineering

On 20 March 2024 we celebrated new graduates at the School of Chemical Engineering. We had 15 graduates at the Bachelor’s Programme, 38 Masters of Sciece (Technology), and 6 Doctors of Science.

A record number of graduates from the School of Chemical Engineering

In 2023, 199 students graduated with a Master of Science in Technology degree from Aalto University's School of Chemical Engineering. This is the highest number in the school's history. The school has seen a sharp increase in admissions over the past few years: Compared to 2019, the number of students has increased by almost 30%. About half of the students are women and almost a quarter have on international background.
