Graduating masters: Give your feedback on studies and make a difference!
By responding to the survey, you can impact the development of your degree programme and Aalto’s organisational culture. The greater the response rate, the greater the chance to have an impact. The survey asks about satisfaction levels with studies, study supervision and guidance, any delays with studies, and the availability of study support.
Feedback from new alumni has an effect on the development measures that will be carried out in the schools. Led by the vice dean, the steering groups for the master’s and bachelor’s programmes in the School of Engineering go through the survey results annually. The results are also discussed in student guild meetings.
‘Every year, we take up a couple of the survey’s themes to work on for making improvements in the education we provide. This year, based on the feedback, we have selected the theme of improving the master’s thesis process. The impact of this can be seen in the monthly discussion topics of the programme steering group and of the guild meetings, as well as in career evenings that are held for international students. In addition, we check that the professors are following their students' thesis work to see that it is being completed on time. The management of students’ well-being, which relates to developing generic skills for working life, is another important theme and active development target that we discuss with students,’ says Jani Romanoff, Vice Dean for Education at the School of Engineering.
Please remember to take the survey in connection with your own graduation. You can find links to the survey when you retrieve your degree certificate from Sisu, the student information system. The survey is also available at Feedback surveys for students graduating with master's degree | Aalto University.
Your response will influence your degree programme’s development work and reinforce Aalto’s feedback culture. It will also have an effect on the study experience of students over the years to come.
