Aalto University Executive Education (Aalto EE) retained its place as one of the best in the world in the recently published rankings of the prestigious Financial Times. Aalto EE was 42nd out of thousands of actors in the field. Once again Aalto EE is the only Finnish operator in the top 50 in the history of the rankings. Commitment of the corporate clients intensified specifically.

The Financial Times assigned a rating for open-enrollment programmes as well as for programmes customised for corporate clients. Aalto EE placed 36th (in 2019 ranked 34th) in the customised category and 61st (in 2019 ranked 56th) in the open programmes’ category. The overall listing was 42nd (in 2019 ranked 38th) and it is based on the total rating achieved in these two categories.

The ranking is based on customer feedback and statistics provided by the institutions themselves. In its report, the Financial Times only ranks the top 50 executive education providers. Globally, executive education and MBA programmes are offered by over 4 000 institutions.

‘Success in our field is increasingly based on networks and in the ability to react. I am especially happy with our new partnerships with Berkeley and United Arab Emirates University, for example. At the same time, it is vital to be able to adapt to the client’s needs and to be agile, especially when it comes customised solutions,’ says Dr. Pekka Mattila, Group Managing Director of Aalto EE and Professor of Practice of Aalto University School of Business.

This year’s top three were once again the Spanish Iese Business School, the French HEC Paris and the Swiss IMD. Now participating for the 20th time, Aalto University Executive Education is ranked under the name Aalto University.
