My warm congratulations on your study place, first year student. You have made an excellent choice and you have accepted a challenge. At the School of Chemical Technology, we change the world through natural sciences and technology. As a student, grab this opportunity and participate in this development.

The School of Chemical Engineering provides answers and solutions to almost any global environmental problem of our time – from climate change to the sufficiency of natural resources and raw materials, from solving the world’s plastic problem to reducing the environmental load of the textile industry. It is not an exaggeration to say that – in this field – we are top of the class.

Internationally speaking, Aalto University offers a unique combination of natural sciences, technology, business and art. I hope you take advantage of this opportunity in your studies. 

If you need assistance or guidance, please don’t hesitate to contact us. The dean, professors and other staff members are here for you, and we will help you find your way. So, I encourage you to be curious and approach new challenges and people without hesitation.
