Aalto University School of Arts, Design and Architecture is seeking a Financial Secretary
This is a fixed-term position until 31.08.2026. We offer an interesting and varied job in an international environment. The workplace is located on the evolving Otaniemi campus with excellent transport connections. Your primary role will be within the finance team of the Department of Film, as well as Department of Art and Media.
Your role and goals
The Financial Secretary is part of the service team, which provides support services to the department's research and teaching staff. The versatile tasks of this role include handling purchase invoices, expense and travel claims, and sales invoices, monitoring and reporting on the finances of small-scale projects, accounting adjustments, and advising and supporting academic staff in financial matters. The work is conducted in close collaboration with other members of the department's finance team.
Your experience and ambitions
We hope that you have a relevant commercial education or equivalent, and some experience in financial administration tasks. Good technical skills and the ability to learn new financial systems are necessary for this role, and we hope you have a proficient command of MS Office programs as well. Experience with Oracle financial systems is considered an advantage. Fluent spoken and written Finnish and English are required to succeed in these duties.
The work of a Financial Secretary demands initiative, responsibility, good organizational skills, and the ability to independently investigate and solve problems. A positive attitude, flexibility, strong cooperation and interaction skills, and a customer service mindset are important prerequisites for success in this role. We hope that developing your skills and work habits is important to you and that you have the ability to acquire new skills easily.

The salary for the position will be determined according to the university salary system in use at Aalto University. The salary range is approximately 鈧2800-鈧3000.
