Give for the future

Our shared future

The skills shortage of tomorrow and the urgent challenges of sustainable development won鈥檛 solve themselves 鈥 and there鈥檚 no time to lose. Now is the time to act. By donating to education and towards the progress of science and art, you鈥檙e not just giving 鈥 you鈥檙e joining a bold community shaping the solutions our future depends on.

黑料网 today, May 9th 鈥 A Push for the Future

Aalto University got its name on May 9, 2008, following a public naming competition held earlier that spring. Chosen from 1,600 suggestions, Aalto University became our name 鈥 and our identity. This year, we鈥檙e celebrating our 鈥渘ame day鈥 for the very first time.

Various styles of the letter 'A' with the text 'I made donation to fuel thinkers of tomorrow.' in the centre.

Lead by example and show that our community is ready to take action.

Aalto University is a home of makers and doers 鈥 a place where students and researchers get to shine, experiment, and build; where curiosity meets knowledge, and insights are turned into real-world impact.

Aalto is a place and a community where every donated euro goes to the best possible use.

Individual acts become powerful movements when we are many.

Support from the community gives students the chance to discover their passions, researchers the tools to solve the biggest challenges of our time, and society a pathway toward new knowledge and greater well-being.

Make your values visible 鈥 take a stand for the experts of tomorrow. If you鈥檙e able, consider making a donation today.

The makers of tomorrow

As we celebrate our very first "Name Day" this year, we鈥檙e turning our eyes to the next generation of change-makers.

The challenges facing both our national and global societies 鈥 from climate change and technological disruption to an aging population 鈥 demand solutions that can only be created through knowledge and expertise.

At the same time, we are facing an escalating shortage of skilled professionals, threatening both societal functionality and economic growth.

But when students are given the opportunity to thrive 鈥 to contribute meaningfully through impactful development work, whether by advancing environmental solutions, driving social innovation, or founding new businesses 鈥 they help build a better world for us all and inspire confidence in the future.

Every donation advances this journey.

By donating, you鈥檙e supporting higher education, cutting-edge research, and the birth of new ideas and enterprises. Every donation is an investment in a thriving future. Every donation helps ensure Finland remains at the forefront of sustainable innovation.

黑料网 to develop

Aalto University's public core funding from the Ministry of Education and Culture has decreased in real terms by more than one-third compared to 2010, when the university began its operations.

Currently, government funding from the Ministry covers about 50% of the university鈥檚 annual expenses. The remaining share is covered through various project grants, funding from the Academy of Finland, competitive research funding, support from foundations, corporate partnerships, and donations from companies and private individuals.

The relative importance of donations made by individuals continues to grow year by year.
