FallUp inspired the entrepreneurial minds of 1700 students
FallUp, organised for the third time, gathered over 1700 students as well as 20 startups and 20 partners to Finlandia Hall on 10 October. Aalto University was one of Fallup’s key partners this year as part of the university’s Finland centennial programme. The event was organised by Aalto's student-run entrepreneurial community Aaltoes, which has iniated leading startup concepts such as Slush and Startup Sauna.
FallUp’s theme this year focused on developing an entrepreneurial mindset.
“We believe we can change the future for the better with an entrepreneurial mindset. The key is to have proactive problem-solving skills, accelerate self-development and the ability to embrace failure among the future leaders. With FallUp our goal is to inspire everyone to become the best version of themselves”, says FallUp’s core team Aleksi Löytynoja, Tiina Nyman ja Laura Tiensuu.
During the event, the participants heard inspiring speeches from entrepreneurs from different fields, including Aalto’s alumni Mika Anttonen, founder of ST1, and Nelli Lähteenmäki, founder of Fifth Corner Inc. In addition, FallUp offered workshops, contacts with startups and partners, as well as the possibility to develop performance and speaking skills at TalkUp.
